Eco-driving

European Automakers are looking to the European Union to pass the burden of emissions reduction. Automakers want the governments to promote eco-driving – avoiding sharp accelerations, maintaining speeds, etc.

Wolfgang Hennig, eco-driving manager for Ford of Europe’s environmental strategy and communications department, told Ward’s Auto, “Reducing CO2 emissions from cars should be a shared responsibility. Technology, alone, cannot solve this question of how to reduce emissions from cars.”
